A workshop, not a warehouse

CraftArt started because a photograph worth printing is worth framing properly, and that turned out to be surprisingly hard to buy.

Everything on this site is cut, joined and finished by us. Nothing is bought in and relabelled. That is why the collection is not enormous and why sizes are made to order rather than pulled off a shelf: a frame built for the picture going in it sits better than one the picture has been trimmed to fit.

It is also why we call. An order form cannot tell us that the wall is darker than you expected, or that the photograph is the only one anybody has of someone. A two-minute conversation usually can.

How the pricing works

Size sets the price, because size is what sets the cost: more timber, more glass, more work. Colour and finish never cost extra, so choose the one you actually want rather than the one that happens to be cheapest.

If you cannot find it

Ask. Odd sizes, particular woods, a frame to match something you already own — that is the part of the job we enjoy most.
